What's actually in Devane Hair Oil?

It's a cold infused blend of nourishing carrier oils like [sesame/coconut] and traditional herbs such as bhringraj, amla, and jasmine (our beloved malli). No mineral oil, no silicones, no synthetic fragrance hiding in there.

How often should I actually be oiling my hair?

Two or three times a week is the sweet spot. Apply at least 30 minutes before you wash, or leave it in overnight if you have the patience. This is one of those things where showing up consistently matters more than how much you use.

Can I sleep with the oil in overnight?

You can, and honestly it's one of the best ways to let the herbs really sink into your scalp. Just throw a towel over your pillow or use an old pillowcase so you're not doing laundry the next morning.

Will this actually help with hair fall?

The herbs in this blend, bhringraj and amla especially, have long been used in Ayurveda to strengthen roots and cut down on breakage right at the source. Like most things Ayurvedic, it's not an overnight fix. Give it a good couple of months of regular use before you judge the results.

I have an oily scalp or deal with dandruff. Is this still for me?

Yes. The oil is light and won't clog your scalp, and neem in particular helps keep things balanced. Focus most of the oil at your roots, and pick a proper wash day so it doesn't sit around too long.

Is it safe on colored or chemically treated hair?

Completely. It actually helps counter the dryness that color and chemical treatments tend to leave behind. If you've had a treatment recently, do a small patch test first just to be safe.

What's the right way to apply it? Tell me about the malli ritual

Warm a bit of oil between your palms, section your hair, and massage it into your scalp using small circular motions with your fingertips for about five to ten minutes. Take your time here, it's meant to feel good. Then work whatever's left through the lengths and ends.

Does it leave hair feeling greasy or heavy?

It shouldn't, since it's made to soak into the scalp rather than sit on top of it. Two shampoo washes will clear it out completely, and starting with a smaller amount (a teaspoon or two) helps you avoid any residue in the first place.

Does this work for all hair types?

Yes, whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly, or coily. You just adjust how much you use and how often based on what your hair and scalp need.

Why not just use plain coconut or castor oil?

You could, but you'd end up layering several oils to get what this one does in a single bottle. Root strength, scalp care, and shine, all from one cold infused formula instead of a cabinet full of separate bottles.

Is this oil 100% natural?

Yes, it is. Every ingredient comes from nature, the carrier oils, the herbs, all of it, with nothing synthetic added in. No mineral oil, no artificial fragrance, no fillers, just a formula that stays true to Ayurveda from start to finish.

Iâ€™ve been trying out the devane beauty scalp & hair oil for a couple of weeks now. And my scalp has never felt happier. First of all. The spray nozzle is an absolute savior-it makes it so easy to target my roots directly without making a massive mess. The formula itself feels incredibly lightweight; it doesnâ€™t leave my hair looking greasy or weighted down, which is always my biggest fear with hair oils. It has a lovely, subtle scent thaf feels like a spa treatment. My hair feels noticeably softer and my scalps feels deeply hydrated and refreshed. Definitely adding this to my holy grail list.
